Us and Our Approach

ADDvantages
Learning Center (ALC) is dedicated to helping children and adults
who learn and process information a little bit, or quite a bit differently
than their peers. Our goal is to facilitate learning by providing
a tailor-made roadmap for these individuals to achieve their learning
potential. Many people do not know that there are many learning and
teaching styles and methods, not just a standard one-size fits all
approach. We find that best approach for optimal learning for each
individual that comes to us for help. They come for help because they
are struggling to learn (it seems to take two or three or four times
longer to learn something new), implement instructions (they seem
to always miss a step or two in the process), or follow-through on
tasks (your child knows he has homework, but continuously forgets
to bring the book home or write down homework assignments), unlike
their peers who have no problems with learning. Just as you know your
child is unique, we believe not all children learn the same way. If
they do not learn the same way, they must be taught differently. We
evaluate how they learn and implement teaching tools to help them
learn at optimal capacity in the style that best meet their needs.
