ADDvantages Learning Center was founded by Linda Karanzalis, a learning specialist and educational consultant. Linda is a N.J. certified special educator who has taught students of all ages, classifications, and in various educational settings how to perform to their maximum potential. She is a pioneer in the fields of Social Skills Training, Cognitive Training, and Coaching in New Jersey. She is one of the 1st individuals trained by the American Coaching Association. She coaches students, adults, and executives in a variety of areas. Linda has the distinction of being the 1st Independently Certified PACE and Master the Code Learning Center Provider in the nation, having brought these programs to New Jersey in 1999. Linda also is the 1st Certified Interactive Metronome Provider in South Jersey since 2001. She is also a founding member of CHADD of CAMDEN COUNTY, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating others about AD/HD and related disorders through a multi-modal approach, and serves as its first Co-Chair through June, 2004 when she becomes the Chair. | |

Linda
is the recipient for two consecutive years of the Teacher Appreciation
Award from the Concerned Businessmen's Association of America for
her outstanding work and accomplishments in the field of education.
In 1997, Linda received an "excellence award" from the Mental Health
Net for her remarkable web page. The Mental Health Net is one of the
premier mental health sites online, featured in many numerous news
stories and capturing all the major web awards for design and content.
It is the most comprehensive source of online mental health resources
today.

| As a presenter, Linda has helped parents, educators, and graduate students have a better understanding of attention deficit disorder, reading techniques, learning disabilities, learning styles, autism, aspergers, obsessive compulsive disorder, compensatory strategies, and brain based learning. She understands that learning disabilities may need more than an academic perspective. ALC therefore provides comprehensive, informative status reports to other professionals who work with you and your child so that an integrated approach to helping your child is not overlooked. Linda personally conducts the training of each "Brain Tools™" trainer after several extensive interviews with candidates to obtain a detailed understanding of their background, qualifications and interest in learning approaches. Linda maintains contracts with select providers for expertise in many areas. | ||
